We often start with some thoughts on potential solutions, and then think about the data that we would need to test our theories. We then gather data and perform extensive research. This can include going through a company’s internal financial figures, hosting internal and external focus groups, going through industry research reports, interviewing company employees and other teammates, and more. All of this work usually involves large amounts of raw data on Excel that need to be structured, organized, and analyzed.
With the data in hand, we then focus on solving your issues. JMD Consulting Group uses Excel spreadsheets extensively (some say we live on Excel) where we extract key pieces of information into charts and graphs on PowerPoint.
